It's good to hear that Sean Penn believes in freedom of the press.
In an interview with Bill Maher on Friday, the Academy Award winning actor said that journalists who described Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez as "a dictator" should be sent "to prison for these kinds of lies."
This from a man who less than three years ago referred to former President George W. Bush as "our country’s and our Constitution’s most devastating enemy."
So in Penn's book calling Chavez a dictator earns you prison time while calling Bush an enemy gets you an Academy Award.
Come to think of it I wonder how Penn thinks photographers who take unflattering pictures of Hugo should be disciplined.
