Rahm Emanuel today formally exited the White House.
It is widely believed he will soon announce his candidacy for Mayor of Chicago.
But here's a thought. What if Rahm doesn't win? Now, I realize there hasn't been a Republican mayor in Chicago in nearly eighty years but maybe there's a young Bernie Epton waiting in the wings.
Will Chicago Democrats coronate Rahm or will the primary be a bitter dog fight?
In the even Rahm should fail to become Mayor of Chicago it would effectively mean that President Obama has been repudiated in his own backyard.
