Muammar Qadaffi is likening himself to Queen Elizabeth II.
The Libyan dictator said, "Queen Elizabeth has ruled longer than I have and nothing has happened to her, no one has bothered her."
Um, except that the Queen hasn't ordered the bombing of airplanes over Scotland or German discotheques let alone hired mercenaries to shoot her subjects in Trafalgar Square.
Nor would I exactly describe Libya as a constitutional monarchy. In fact, it was a monarchy that Qadaffi overthrew back in 1969.
Perhaps tomorrow Qadaffi will compare himself to the Dalai Lama.
