Is this the best Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid can do?
On the floor of the Senate, Reid equated opposition to Obamacare as the moral equivalent of opposing the abolition of slavery. For good measure he also added it was akin to opposing suffrage and the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
If President Obama wants any kind of health care reform to pass the Senate he needs to publicly rebuke Reid. Not only must Obama rebuke Reid but he must also tell his supporters to stop calling Republicans and conservatives racist over legitimate differences of opinion.
Lumping in your political opponents with vile racists is not only stupid but it is a sure fire way to get nothing accomplished.
