Israel Seizes Ship Full of Iranian Weapons

Bravo to the Israeli Navy.

They have just seized a ship full of Iranian weapons headed to Lebanon. If the shipment had been successful those weapons would have found their way into the hands of Hezbollah.

The seizure is larger than the cache of weapons found on the Karine A in 2002 which were headed for the Palestinian territories. This was the incident where Yasser Arafat denied any knowledge of the weapons shipment only to be exposed as a liar. President Bush subsequently declared Arafat persona non grata.

Somehow I don't think President Obama is going to ostracize Mahmoud Ahmadinejad even if Ahmadinejad were to lie to him. Iran has made its intentions clear with regard to Israel, its nuclear program and to their own people. For President Obama, it's engagement for the sake of engagement.
