Quick NLDS & ALDS Predictions

The 2009 MLB postseason gets underway today with the NLDS and ALDS. Remember it's the best three out of five. So here are my quick picks.

NLDS - Colorado Rockies vs. Philadelphia Phillies

The Rockies losing their ace Jorge de la Rosa could be a crippling blow. On the other hand there is the Phillies bullpen.

Phillies in four.

NLDS - St. Louis Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

The Cardinals have a decided edge with their starting three.

I'll also take Albert Pujols over Manny Ramirez. This isn't 2004.

A Cardinals sweep.

ALDS - Minnesota Twins vs. New York Yankees

The Twins have not fared well against the Yankees in recent years and were 0-7 against the Bronx Bombers in 2009. But the Twins are on a mission from G-d. But even G-d can't save them.

Yankees in five.

ALDS - Boston Red Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

It's Red Sox & Angels for the third straight year. The spirit of the late Nick Adenhart might move mountains but I don't think it overcomes the Bosox.

Red Sox in five.
