Hillary To Drop Out On Friday; Seeks VP Post But Look Out For Sebelius

By all accounts, Hillary Clinton will formally drop out of the race tomorrow. But she effectively dropped out when she said she was open to the VP slot thus putting Obama into a dicey position. However, Obama responded by recruiting a three person search committee consisting of Caroline Kennedy, Jim Johnson and Eric Holder (who could pardon Tony Rezko at the tail end of an Obama Administration). Somehow I don't think they'll recommend Hillary. It's one thing to keep your enemies closer but familiarity breeds contempt. There is talk of Obama nominating a woman to neutralize any anger by some of the feminists who felt Hillary was badly treated. Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius and Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano have been mentioned. My money is on Sebelius. She's a popular Democrat in a Republican Midwestern state, she endorsed him right after she gave the response to the State of the Union and Obama was born in Kansas.
