The Vatican Sends Delegation to Durban II

Although several European states ultimately opted to boycott the anti-Semitic Durban II Conference featuring Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad; the Holy See has opted to attend.

Yesterday, Pope Benedict XVI stated, "I sincerely encourage all delegates present at the Geneva conference to work together in a spirit of mutual dialogue and acceptance in order to put an end to every form of racism, discrimination and intolerance."

So I gather that "spirit of mutual dialogue and acceptance" was in full force as delegates applauded when Ahmadinejad called Israel "a racist nation."
