Bruins Sweep Canadiens

It is not unusual for the Boston Bruins to make the NHL playoffs.

It is unusual, however, for the Bruins to advance beyond the first round.

More often than not the Bruins are stopped in their tracks by the Montreal Canadiens.

But with the second best record in the NHL this season, the Bruins tonight swept the Canadiens with a 4-1 victory at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

Not even Canadiens fans booing the Star Spangled Banner could deter the Bruins. It isn't the first time Canadiens fans have booed our national anthem. Remember what happened shortly after the War in Iraq began in 2003?

It is unknown who the Bruins will play in the next round although it is most likely the New York Rangers. The Rangers currently have three games to one lead over the Washington Capitals in their first round playoff.
