U.S. Navy Rescues Captain Phillips

I am gratified to see the U.S. Navy has freed Captain Richard Phillips from Somali pirates.

They saw Captain Phillips in imminent danger with an AK-47 pointed at his head and the Navy acted killing three Somali pirates and capturing a fourth.

I still maintain these pirates would not have done this if Bush was in office. The rescue took nearly five days. Far too close for comfort.

But in the end President Obama gave the order to use force and it paid off.

Although it should be noted the pirates have vowed more attacks against American merchant ships one can only hope these pirates will think twice before attacking an American vessel again.
