There Are No "Moderate Taliban"

The Obama Administration is seeking a reconciliation with the "moderate Taliban."

A spokesman for Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar dismissed the idea out of hand.

Zabihullah Mujahid stated, "They have to go and find the moderate Taliban, their leader and speak to them. This is a lunatic idea."

For once I agree with the Taliban.

Especially in light of the fact the Taliban has declared it intends to attack Washington, D.C.

Baitullah Mehsud, who is believed to have been behind the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, told the Associated Press, "Soon we will launch an attack in Washington that will amaze everyone in the world."

Sean Hannity put it nicely when he said to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, "Madam Secretary, just make sure this guy isn't on your list of former terrorists that you plan to make peace with."

The Taliban see "reconciliation" as a sign of weakness. The Taliban and al Qaeda will attack America again when it they think us to be weak not when they think us to be strong. If there is another attack in America on the scale of September 11, 2001 or greater then President Obama has only himself to blame.
