North Korea Launches Missile, Tests Obama

As promised, North Korea today launched a missile over Japan.

President Obama condemned the act and Japan has requested an emergency session of the UN Security Council. The Council will meet tomorrow.

What is astonishing is that the North Koreans have two American reporters in custody. Laura Ling and Euna Lee of Current TV (Al Gore's network) were detained by North Korea at the border with China on March 17th and are set to be put on trial for entering the country illegally and for "hostile acts."

I can't believe President Obama nor for that matter former Vice-President Gore haven't made any public statement demanding their release and safe return. All that has been said from the U.S. State Department is that they have "expressed its concern to North Korea about the situation."

Gee, that's going to move heaven and earth, isn't it?
