Obama Administration Plans Bilateral Talks With North Korea

The Obama Administration is planning direct talks with North Korea.

I'm not sure if September 11th is the right date to make such an announcement.

On the other hand today was Friday and I found about this just before 5 p.m.

State Department spokesperson P.J. Crowley said, "We are prepared to enter into a bilateral discussion with North Korea."

Why?

This, after all, is a regime that took two American reporters hostage earlier this year and it took a visit from former President Bill Clinton (and Lord knows what else) to get them released.

As with Iran, I don't see anything good coming of it.
