Thoughts on Obama's Health Care Speech Before Congress

President Obama is going to make his case for health care reform in a speech before a joint session of Congress on September 9th.

I have a feeling we are going to have a return to the soaring rhetoric that helped Obama get elected ten months ago. If that is the case then he will need to tell Congress and Americans at large how a new health care system will be an improvement on the existing system rather than accusing those who disagree with his proposals of bearing false witness.

I am sure those at MSNBC and The New York Times will once again experience leg tingling sensations. Nonetheless, if Obama doesn't hit a homerun with this speech then health care reform is dead. That said I will not make the mistake of underestimating him.

That's right, don't underestimate O'Bama. The peoples time has come. It's time to take our country back from the corporate fat cats! We need to make health care affordable to everyone, not just the affluent and healthy!
