Now that we have a Democrat in the White House more pressure is being brought to bear against Israel with regard to its settlements in the West Bank. Concerns for Palestinian terrorism are out the window with the War on Terror.
As such we will be treated to headlines such as this one that appeared in today's edition of The Guardian.
Let's get this straight. Settlements are not the issue. Israel could dismantle every settlement on the West Bank. Does anyone honestly this would mollify the Palestinians in any way, shape or form? Withdrawing from Gaza hasn't exactly satiated them. The issue for the Palestinians isn't settlements in the West Bank. Rather they see Israel itself as one big Jewish settlement. Palestinians will only want to live side by side with Israelis if they are in the sea.
Well, President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will now become the Palestinians' biggest enablers where it concerns settlements.
How very unsettling.
