If I think President Obama gets something right I'll say so.
Well, President Obama gets it right with Aung San Suu Kyi. The Nobel Peace Prize winner is the woman who should be Burma's President. But instead she has been held in captivity for most of the past two decades by Myanmar's military junta. Suu Kyi was due to be released but is being put on trial for allegedly harboring an American. If found guilty she could face five years of imprisonment. How convenient.
Obama isn't having any of it describing the proceedings as a "show trial."
I only wish he had been as forceful where it concerns Americans being unjustly held such as Roxana Saberi was in Iran. The same can be said for Laura Ling and Euna Lee who are still being held in North Korea.
