George Tiller, the Kansas physician known for performing late term abortions, was murdered while serving as an usher in his church today in Wichita. He was 67 years old.
Tiller was charged with 19 counts of violating Kansas state law for not properly consulting an independent physician before performing late term abortions. However, in March he was acquitted of all charges although he still faced an ethics probe from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts, the state medical authority.
The National Right to Life Committee and other pro-life organizations swiftly condemned Tiller's murder.
The person who killed Tiller put a stain on pro-life people who believe in the sanctity of life and abhor violence.
The person who killed Tiller also desecrated a house of worship.
The person who killed Tiller must be brought to justice.
While no one has been charged with Tiller's murder, Wichita Police have arrested a man named Scott Roeder who has been identified only as a person of interest.

Obama said, "However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence." --If Obama only cared that much about the countless babies who died at the hands of that abortionist...
A family member said, "Today we mourn the loss of our husband, father and grandfather. Today's event is an unspeakable tragedy for all of us and for George's friends and patients. This is particularly heart wrenching because George was shot down in his house of worship, a place of peace." Wow, how about the wombs that all of those babies were in? The womb is supposed to be a safe place of peace for a baby. But that monster would intrude and kill each one of them, with no remorse.
And I do not feel sorry for a family who loved a murderer. And I sure do NOT feel sorry for a church that had no problem allowing a murderer to attend.

While I cannot make the previous commenter feel sorry for anyone, I cannot share the sentiments of the last statements. Some bonds cannot be broken, and no matter what someone does, a family member will always be family. The Tiller family's grief is not because they lost an abortionist; they lost a son, a father, a brother, a husband, etc. Whether they embraced or despised his activities, they certainly loved the man. This should not be overlooked.
As for his place of worship, there is a difference between rejecting murder and rejecting murderers. Certainly, what he did was deplorable and it should have been addressed. He certainly wasn't asking for forgiveness for it. However, they cannot turn a man away. They should do their best to return him to God's graces. If they weren't at least trying, then the cynicism is well placed.
Unfortunately, this man's death has and will be used for political means.
I appreciate your peaceful response to my post. And I respectfully ask you to consider, 1st Cor., Chapter 5.
Thanks,
Debra...
Ms Smith is disrespectful if she thinks a doctor who participates in a medical procedure is a murderer. She's disrespectful not to the Doctor's family, not to the patients who requested the abortions, she's disrespectful to Jesus the Christ because she seems to think that she is the Authority here. She wants to quote scripture, but she forgets Romans 13:1-5, Matthew 5:43-48, Proverbs 15:1. I could go on and on and on, but it saddens me to think that she believes spewing vileness toward the family and others is what being a Christian is all about.
